Samba a stereotype??

Brazilians don't like the fact that people think that all Brazil is into samba... ok, maybe this is not true, I already met few brazilians who don't dance it or don't even like it, but in a country of more than 180 million people there should be room for not Samba lovers... that's ok!

The fact is that I do love samba, although I find it really difficult to learn, especially when you are next to some experts like the girls who dances at Samba Schools. For those who don't know a Samba school is one of those groups you see on TV on Carnivals, they rehearse the WHOLE year, although they are more fancy in Rio we also have some very good ones in Sao Paulo.

Last week I went to a Samba School called TOM Maior (I think is not one of the super professional) but I just loved it! Some people realized there were foreigners there so they put us in front of everyone with a couple of gorgeous girls who were teaching us how to dance samba (sambar).

I know I have a long way to get till where they are (but common I think they were already dancing when their dads put their "seeds" on their moms!) so give me a break!!!

Finally I have some pics, and also a video, only that is too big to be here... the pics will make it, hopefully!
